Mr. Joe Price
Mission, Texas
Dear Mr. Price:
I regret exceedingly to learn that you are making it very unpleasant for our flumes watchman, Pablo Gutierrez. Pablo has been with us for a great many years and fills a place in our organization that is necessary, that is, the watching of those flumes. Pablo advises me that you have fastened a fence to the flumes which makes it impossible for him to pass to the other side which he has been accustomed of doing in the performing of his duties. It seems to me that some arrangement could be made whereby you and Pablo could get along peacefully down there. I appreciate the fact that we have no control on the property under the flumes in the flood-way, but that aught not alter the situation in that you should be willing to cooperate with us.
We have arranged to let Pablo have Lot 11-3, which is owned by Mr. Shary and I trust that you will not in any sense interfere with the pasturing of his stock on that particular tract and that further, you will arrange to get along amiably with Pablo in premitting his crossing the flood-way and the flumes.
Yours very truly,
UNITED IRRIGATION COMPANY
